The most tourist-packed of the beaches in Bali is the Kuta-Legian-Seminyak stretch. Kuta is Bali’s wild child drawing throngs looking for a good party. Legian, a good median, is still abuzz but not as crowded. Seminyak has quieter beaches and more upscale establishments. A long (and I mean looooong) beach stretches over all three districts.
No white sand on these beaches though. It’s off white, or pale brown. But no matter, it’s as fine as fine sand goes and very consistent. What you get is all natural sand covering kilometers and kilometers of shoreline and continuing into the water as far as you could swim you need not fear stepping on sharp pebbles or sea urchins. And if there’s one wonderful thing about the off white sand, it’s the golden glow it gives off as the sun sets over the water.
Bali sunsets are magical. 🙂
